Car carriers a good option to have if you overload your Durango, you don't want certain equipment in there, maybe muddy or sweaty sports gear, you can put out here and it makes less of a mess on the car carrier than does on the inside. I always like that, 'cause you can spray this off far easier then detail on the inside of your car. Why would you need a hitch cargo carrier It has a couple of different uses. For instance, if you're going over a longer road trip and have your car filled up with people and maybe all your luggage doesn't fit into the back end, you're going that additional luggage is gonna have to go somewhere else. So this is a perfect opportunity for that. Or if you're going to something like the hardware store and picking up those messier items like mulch or fertilizer maybe and don't want that to have the potential to break open and spill over your car or kind of stink it up, having it on the outside of our vehicle, is a really nice option. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima EXO system Swing Away Storage and Ski and Snowboard Carrier and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2023 Kia Telluride. This is gonna be a completely modular system. So the whole kit here that you see comes with the Swing Away base, the top shelf that adds the second layer for your accessories, the gear locker box on the bottom and the ski and snowboard carrier up top. And the nice thing about the EXO system is that with it being modular and offering so many different accessories, you can swap things out and get this all individually if you wanted. So in the summer, if we wanna swap out the ski and snowboard carrier for a bike rack, we can do that. more

Hey, everybody. Cooper here from etrailer, and today we're going to be taking a look at our Flint Hill Goods compact steel cargo carrier on our 2021 Dodge Durango. Now, our Durango does offer us a lot of space on the inside, but that space is filled with people who need their own luggage and space. We might find ourselves running out of room inside. So, our cargo carrier here could be an excellent reason to have some external storage or if you're going to the hardware store, picking up things like mulch, manure, maybe starting a spring project and we don't want that potentially to bust open on the inside and get our Durango dirty, again, this is a excellent option for keeping that outside your car while having a way to transport it. Now, our cargo carrier is weight rated for 500 pounds, which means I have no problem thinking that I can confidently stand within this basket. more

While our Durango does offer a lot of space inside, if that space is filled with people who all need luggage, you might not be able to fit it all inside the Durango. So our cargo carrier offers an excellent opportunity to carry things like luggage outside. Maybe if you're going to a hardware store, picking up a bag of mulch or even fertilizer and you don't wanna risk that ripping open into your vehicle, you can carry it out here a lot easier. Now our cargo carrier is weight rated for 500 pounds so there's a big variety of different things that you'd be able to carry in it. While it's important to know what your cargo basket is rated for, also make sure you know what your hitch is rated for because if your hitch is rated for under what the basket is, you wanna make sure you're going from your lowest component. more

Cargo carriers are a great way to carry extra stuff with you on your trips or maybe to the hardware store or maybe just have a great way to get some stuff out from the inside of your vehicle and move it outside because things like bags of concrete mulch, dirt, things that have a tendency to rip and make a mess inside our vehicle can be a hassle. Getting it out here, that mess is gonna maybe fall through some of the gaps or just be easier to clean up by hosing off the carrier when you get home. Lets Go Aero GearDeck Enclosed Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be checking out the Lets Go Aero GearDeck Enclosed Cargo Carrier. First impressions of this on the back of the Highlander, I could really see how this would be useful in a lot of different scenarios, especially on those long trips. Maybe you got the car fully loaded and you lose out on a lot of that cargo space and so you're gonna be able to put all those other things back here. Or especially, you know, if it's one of those deals where you have cargo that you don't necessarily wanna put inside of your vehicle, you can put it back here, or you have stuff that's kind of bulky, but you know, actually hooking up a separate trailer doesn't really, it's not really justified, so this is kind of that go-between and being completely covered, it goes a long way. It's gotta keep all your stuff dry. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier, it's the compact version, and we're gonna take a look at how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. This is gonna be made out of aluminum, so it's gonna be super lightweight, easy to store when you're not using it, but it's still gonna be able to support up to 500 pounds, so let's take a closer look. So with our Pacifica, we do have a decent amount of storage in the back, but once you start loading that up with people and their items, things really fill up very quickly, so something like this could be useful in the event that you're going for a long-term trip, somewhere where you need a little bit of extra storage, or maybe even the opposite where you're going on a short-term trip to just like the grocery store, hardware store, you're picking up something like mulch or anything that's gonna make a mess inside your car, you'd rather have that out on the back, this is how you get around that. Here in the inside are the aluminum slats, there's just six that run straight across the entire carrier, so you still have room to get some larger items on here with having that space for debris to fall through. Our side walls aren't very tall, but they do give you just a little bit more protection or something to butt your gear up against to give it a little bit more security inside. more

Flint Hill Goods 29 x 49 Carrier with Ramp Review - 2022 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
How's it going It's Ethan here at etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods 49 by 29 inch hitch-mounted aluminum cargo carrier with the 60 inch ramp right here on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. So we do have a large cargo container, but if we need a little bit of help loading some things up whether that's a wheelchair, scooter, generator in this case, lawnmower. As long as it falls within that 500 pound weight capacity of the carrier or in our case, our tongue weight on our hitch is actually 400 pounds. If we keep it below that amount we can get any sort of wheeled accessory up here and in securely and where we need them to go. So let's take a closer look. more

How's it going It's Ethan here at etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Compact Steel Hitch Cargo Carrier from Flint Hill Goods and how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. So with the Pacifica, we have a good amount of storage in the back, but if you're going on a long road trip or even a short trip where you just want to get some larger, heavier, maybe some messier items, you don't want them to keep them inside your vehicle, this is a great way to get them outside while still being compact and really durable, so let's take a look. This carrier has a 500 pound weight capacity, it's made of steel with a nice black product coat finish, so it's really well built and it's gonna be durable, especially out in the elements when you're driving and things are kicking up from the bottom and hitting it. Also, it is gonna be still really lightweight, it's only gonna come in at about 25 pounds, even though it is made of steel. So if you compare that to the aluminum version, it's only a couple pounds heavier, but I think it's gonna be a lot more durable. more

Lets Go Aero GearDeck Enclosed Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Howdy everyone, John here. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Now this is gonna be a great choice if you need a little extra room for any of your stuff on a trip and you don't want to put it inside your vehicle itself. Now my friends and I are planning on going to Colorado during summer and we're going to be doing some car camping, so the inside of our vehicle isn't going to be able to be used for any type of cargo because we'll be sleeping there. Now the 4Runner does have raised rails but unfortunately it's a little bit finicky whenever it comes to how much roof clearance you have along with other problems. Now this is a great choice if you wanna be able to put some of your cargo maybe camping equipment and whenever we're gonna be using that we don't have to worry about it being attacked by the elements because it's going to be enclosed. more

One of the big advantages to this is going to be that it is made of aluminum, which is weather resistant. And compared to a carrier of a similar size, this is going to be a lot more lightweight. So, if you wanted to hang this on your wall in the garage when you're not in use, there'd be no issue being able to hang that. Although our rack is made out of aluminum, there are just a few points on it where these thin little pieces are that I would not really use for securing down tie down points. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum 60 by 22 inch hitch cargo carrier and how it fits on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. So with the 1500, we do have a good amount of space in our truck bed, but maybe you want a little bit of extra storage on a longer trip, maybe you just want something that's easy to load in bags of mulch or dirt, gravel, whatever it is that might make a mess inside your bed that you'd rather not deal with, this is a good way to extend that storage or get some larger, messier items out on the back, so let's take a closer look. As I mentioned, the carrier is made of aluminum, so it's really lightweight, but it's still able to support up to 500 pounds, so it's still gonna be able to get a good amount of weight where you need it to go. It's got this grid design on the inside, so you can store some smaller items-ish, but you still have enough room for that mess to fall through, we have rails that go around the outside, as well as points on the inside for you to tie things down to. That being said, because these are aluminum and they are kind of thin, when we've been testing these, if we put any sort of real pressure on there, they do flex pretty easily, so we'd honestly recommend maybe not using that if you wanna put your straps there, we'd rather use the outside rails if that's an option for you. more

There's a lot of cargo carrier options out there, and yes you already have a large truck with a large truck bed but sometimes you need a cargo area that's more easily accessible. That's where this carrier with a ramp comes in handy. This is made of aluminum, so it's gonna be lighter than your super-duper heavy duty ramps. And you have a long ramp which gives you a more shallow incline. That way you can carry around, let's say you're snowblowers, your generators, your larger items that need to be ramped up instead of lifted up. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima EXO swing away storage system with the cargo basket and the enclosed cargo box, and seeing how it fits on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. So the Yakima EXO System is a very unique setup. It's gonna be a hitch-mounted carrier slides into our two inch by two inch receiver tube. Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2023 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be checking out the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier. First impressions of the carrier on the back of the Highlander, I think it's a good fit, you know, this is more of a medium-sized one compared to some of the other ones out there, but still gonna give you ample room to be able to pile a bunch of stuff up back here and you know, not have to put it on the inside Highlander. I know a lot of people use these when they're going on trips and things like that, so give you a little more breathing room on the inside. Or if you just have stuff that you don't really want to put on the inside of your car, maybe a cooler or if you're doing stuff around the house maybe you need a couple bags of mulch or dirt or anything along the lines, you know, having this is gonna allow you to put all that stuff back here and keep it outside. One thing that I like to do before going on a trip or something like that, is kinda have everything loaded up and ready to rock and roll for the next morning. more
